Straight Shelby. No, I'm to talking about my sexuality. A place to let your mind, mouth and eyes wander where they may.

Watch does not = google
So I wear a watch now, because I don't have my cell phone in my hand at all times. I have a trac phone, but I don't use it much. So now I wear a watch. And all my watch does is tell time, but I always think it can solve any question I have. If someone asks me something and I don't know the answer, I automatically look at my watch like it's going to answer or something..... weird, don't know how that even started.
Owen Glenn Moss
As most of you know, Dylan is the little light of my eye and he loves his Auntie Shelby. I always take him err where and make sure he's wearing his Oregon Ducks clothes. I spoil him to death. Then yesterday Callie had another one. Owen Glynn Moss 7 lbs 9 oz 20.5 inches long. And he is cute! He looks just like Dylan did. I am super sad I wasn't there in person to see him and hold him, yup I cried a little bit. But I was there on skype! I was there before she went in and after. I got to see him right after he was born. Pretty exciting. Brittany carried me around and showed me err thing. I haven't been homesick until this. It sucks I'm not going to be as close to him as I am Dylan. But I will still buy him lots of little Oregon Ducks and Germany clothes. Dylan said he will be a good older brother. I think he will, cuz he can beat the crap out of anyone.

Money money money
It is true, everything is more expensive in Europe. Especially converting from the dollar to Euro. It's pretty much like getting raped, and not the good kind of raping. I got super lucky coming over here with knowing Luisa. Because I didn't have to go out and buy bedding, towels, dishes and all that. She gave it to me from her house. Plus there isn't any wal-marts real close, and a lot people I know ended up paying a shit ton for just their blankets and pillows. By the way, I truly do miss Wal-Mart. They have some stores comparable to Wal-mart, such as Kaufhof, where you can get some food, makeup, clothes, and house ware all at one store. But it is def not as cheap. I would love to come across a Winco, that would be bomb. They don't put all that bad stuff in their food like USA either. So you only go shopping a little at a time. Yup I made that mistake and bought a bunch of stuff then it went bad. Like even a loaf of bread! It was done for in like a week. They eat a lot more cheese and bread here also. Brötchen, in a way kinda like rolls, but better and different varieties. But I'm trying to stay away from bread and pasta as much as possible. I don't wanna gain all the weight I just lost back. My apartment is pretty small, I live by myself. It's about a little bigger than my dorm room and I have a little bathroom and a stove and sink, but no oven. But luckily I found a toaster over at flea market here! I don't like living by myself I get lonely, I like being around people. I wish I had Elinor back as a roommate. But it will be good for me when classes start, so I can stay focused and try and get good grades this year.
I live in the most perfect location. I live in the Altstadt (old city) that's where all the action is going on and where classes are. And I'm crawling distance from the bars! yay! There's a street called the Unterstraße where there's a bunch of bars and little cafes, it's right below the Hauptstraße (main street). The Hauptstraße is completely filled with people during the day, many shops and cafes and restaurants. Heidelberg is a touristy town, it wasn't destroyed in the war so all the buildings and everything still look really nice.
And it has a big gigantic castle. I like to just go on random walks through town, or up to the castle, or to the very top of the Philosophersweg, which is a little historical walk up the mountain. And just get lost walking around for hours. I do a lot of walking here since I don't have a car. But I don't need one. Everything I need is right here, and I can take the bus or train anywhere I need to go. It's been about 70 degrees, a lot chillier than back home where they have been having days up in the high 90's!!! I love the hot weather, but it's prob good it's not that hot here cuz I have no air conditioner in my apartment. The weather here is pretty crazy too. It can be sunny then ten minutes later its down pouring, and when it rains, it pours.

Yay I can go to Bars!
Drinking is looked at a lot different here. You are legal to drink at 16 but you can't drive until you're 18 and it costs a lot of money and training. Unlike back home where I started driving on my moms lap when I was like 3. The roads here are a LOT smaller and they drive was faster. On the autobahn you are allowed to drive as fast as you want, pretty sweet. I got to drive Luisa's little car, Sasha, she is closely compared to a Geo in the states, but runs faster and better I would say. The first day I got there I went with Luisa to a bar (and didn't get carded) her friend was working at and had my first drink, exciting. I had some kind of cocktail. Then during the next couple of days Luisa showed me around her town, we walked around the Marktplatz and saw all the old buildings and err thing. We had spaghetti Eis, at first I was like wtf, ice cream that tastes like spaghetti, sick. But it just looks like spaghetti!!! They made it look like noodles with strawberry sauce on top to look like tomato sauce. It's a really pretty cute little town.
We went to her Opa and Oma's house for lunch. OMGSH, so good. I had some real traditional German food- red cabbage, knodel and meat. It tasted so good. I went with Luisa and her class to Bensheim, and we went on a little tour on this route that had to do with some people back in WWII, pretty interesting. Then we went to a "real" Italian restaurant. It was really good and the waiters were hot, but I still love Olive Garden. -O Garden till I die-
The first week I was there it was Luisa's "project week" so they were just doing this project thingy with the younger kids. And one day we were to walk up to the castle, yup that didn't quite happen. Luisa is the worst person to go hiking with. We started up the path, and had a smokers break about every 10 minutes, then we decided lets go back down and drive the car up. So then we drove the car up as far as we could, then we had to get out and walk some more, but then everyone got tired again, so we just didn't make it up to the castle.
