Magical places, only a train ride away

oh ya get it
Last week was my vacation week. I had a free week in between my sprachkurs and my Uni classes. I really wanted to take plane trip somewhere, like Italy or Greece, but I couldn't really find anyone to go with me. So I decided to take the train down to Freiburg to meet up with my friend Shanon who is also from U of O. The train down there was about 2 hours with two connections and the ride back was a little slower and took about 3 hours with two connections also. When I first got to Freiburg we walked around downtown got some ice cream and shopped a little bit. Then we went back to her house and made Kabsah.. nom nom nom.. Then we got ready and pregamed to go out for the night. She had heard of a club that had free entrance if you had your Uni Id, so we decided to go check it out. But when we got there, literally no one was there. So we used the toilet and bounced.  Then as we began walking down the street some boys in a group came up and started talking to us. Asked up what we were up to and all that, said we heard of another club, but we didn't know where it was, they're where like okay, lets look, we'll go find it. So we went with them to go find it. So then we found and bought  a few drinks, but the dudes that where with us were not really that cute, then we spotted two pretty cute guys. As we walked to the bathroom one of them stopped Shanon so then we started to talking to them. Then that led to dancing and making out. Then it was getting pretty late and Shanon and I decided to walk home instead of paying for a taxi. Then they decided they'd walk us back home. We walked home along the tram tracks and it was so early there weren't any trams at that time anyways. The walk took forever!! We didn't realize she lived so far away, it was about a two mile walk. But the weather was so nice so it was fun.

Then next we got up and took a train to Triberg, Shanon heard they had the worlds first biggest coocoo clock there, so we decided, why not, lets go check it out. When we first got off the train, there was like nothing, we were like, where in the hell are we?? But we just kept walking and finally saw some signs that pointed to tourist information..Ahhh that must be the way, then we just walked some more and pretty soon were in the middle of a little town with a lot of shops. We then came across a sign that said "Germanys highest Waterfall" so we went and checked it out, but you had to pay to go walk up that path which was stupid but whatever. So we did that and it was really pretty, it wasn't your typical straight up and down waterfall, it made it's way slower down the mountain. After that we began our hunt for the Coo coo clock. We saw a couple signs but not really that many for it. So we just started walking in the way we thought it was, and we walk, and walked, and walked some more. Finally after forever we found it!!! It was a little ways out of town. It was pretty big, but like this ginormous thing you have envisioned as the worlds first biggest coo coo clock. But it was built over 30 years ago by hand. As we were sitting outside taking pictures and just chillen, this old couple showed up also, so we started talking to them. Turns out they were from Australia just traveling around Europe. Then they offered to give us a ride back to the train station. Thank God!!! I didn't want to walk all the way back. On the way home we stopped in Waldkirch because Shanon had heard of a castle there. It was getting pretty late so we decided to make it a quick stop. We got off and started walking in the direction of the mountain to see the castle, then after about 20 minutes we're like, where is this thing, maybe we should just turn back and  catch the train in 15 minutes instead of the one in another hour. So we turned around and BAM, there w as the castle right behind us up on the hill, it was starting to get dark out so it was all lighted up. We snapped  a few pictures and headed back to the train. Right as we got to the train station our train showed up but we were on the wrong side! Shanon was like lets just cross the tracks, I'm like No we can't. So then we were just like damn, well lets just wait an hour. I was like no lets run, so we ran down to the end and crossed over and ran to the train. We made it! Then the train sat there for like another 5 minutes, we were just like wow, we probably looked like idiots running to the train.loool Soon enough we made it back to Freiburg and we were starving! We grabbed a döner kabap and headed home to her house and passed out. I had to get up the next morning at 6 to catch the train back to Heidelberg. I had to be back in time to talk to a lady about classes.

That Friday we were suppose to fly with Luisas Dad to Berlin on his plane, but the weather was not good, so we didn't go. So instead Friday the weather was super nice. So I went on a jog then stopped along the river and tanned. Then later I met back up with a few friends and laid out by the river. The weather was just so nice it was awesome. That weekend I went to luisas and we pretty much did nothing all weekend we slept. And we also went to IKEA, Sasha (Luisas car) was packed. I finally got some stuff to make my wittle room look like a home. I got some plants, a flower, a rug, body mirror, pictures for the wall, candles and a some other random stuff. Yay, now it feels like a home. On Sunday morning we woke up at 10:30 and Luisa got on facebook and realized shittttt, we have a birthday party to be at at 11:00!! So we hurried up and got ready and went. It was Barie themed, Luisa didn't really have anything pink to wear, so we called her trash barbie. I just wore one of my dresses. Later that day we went to Luisas Oma and Opa's for dinner. We had fried chicken, fries and salad. It was really good. I like to go and visit her Gparents, they are really nice and reminds me of my Gma. I'm taking like 24 credits this term but it feels like nothing, my schedule is so easy, I'm already bored. This was the first week so I didn't have some of my classes but still. Here's my schedule.

Heidelberg Herbfest

Uterestraß at night during the Herbfest, so many people!

Heidelberg is still going pretty good right now. Tomorrow is my last day of my sprachkurs (language class). I haven't learned quite as much as I thought I would. But I feel like my German has improved. It's easier for me to produce sentences now. But I never really speak German outside of class which sucks. But I really like my class and I'm going to miss them. I haven't been to busy., I'm by myself a lot since I live alone. Last weekend was really fun. Heidelberg had a Herbfest, just a big festival with food, concerts, floh markt, drinks, food , little stands selling arts and crafts and random stuff. There was so many people you were always touching shoulders while walking down the street. I got really drunk that night and made out with two men. Yay go me. One older dude and one younger dude, and I got free drinks out of it!! Holla... But the younger one was an American!! My first American!!! loool I broke my own rule. Then the next day I didn't have any advil and I had the worst headache all day. Yesterday nine of us went to Stuttgart for the Volksfest, like a mini Oktoberfest with Bier, food games and rides. It was really fun and it's a pretty city. I rode some sweet ass carnival rides and got a big Bier Stein. :D
